I might be asking for it

Hello Friends (or newbies, wanderers, etc)!

Well, I might be asking for it. I am attempting to take the little one to her 4th movie tonight. We have been to 3 in the past, and made it through 1 with potty and snack breaks, as well as some running from mom in the theater. She has been a great little helper this week! We have outdoor rugs in our kitchen, so it was time to take them out to hose and scrub them down. She was more than happy to help!

Eventually, we got both of them nice and clean!

I started painting the shutters this weekend. Hopefully I can post some pictures of the finished product soon!

I am looking forward to a fun week ahead! I am off work the whole week, and I can't wait to spend all of my time with Ruby. Now we can sit and watch The Young and The Restless on live tv and I can explain to her why Victor is always manipulating his family. She usually follows up by saying, "Oh Victor". I can take her to the Science Museum where she can show me how she can do everything "by myself". I can take her to the pool and let her scream at me until she realizes she is having fun. She can sit at the table for lunch and when she sees her plate, she tells me all the things she got to eat like it is the greatest thing ever. We can dance to her favorite Yo Gabba Gabba station on Pandora. I get this whole week to love on her and to let her feel special. What a blessing!

In other non-mommy news:  Big Brother has started! I have been watching this show since season 3. It is one of those things where you either have no interest in it, or you are obsessed and would never miss it. It is a great cast this year and I intend to let it waste lots of my time and provide me with plenty of mindless entertainment.

Favorite Ruby moment this week: When her rolly-poly died and she wrapped him up and said he went night-night.
My favorite thing I ate this week:  Paula Deen's Pumkin Baked Ziti
One thing I learned this week:  As much as I want to control everything, I actually have control of nothing.

Until next time ...
