Have You Ever Been "That" Mom?

Have you ever been "that" mom? Come on, you know the one, dragging "that" kid through the store? The time where every eye in the entire place is on you, and your child. Let's just say that was me this morning. Before I had a child, I used to be one of those pairs of staring eyes. The ones that speak nothing but say things like "Can't you control your child" or "If that were me I could control that situation" or "Can you leave and take all that noise with you". That was me this morning. If you were anywhere even close to the intersection of Penn and Memorial you could probably hear us. Here's the thing. It passed. I maintained consistency with her. She got all of her feelings out and when it was all done gave me kisses on some places that got knocked in the process. I love her just as much as before we went in the store. I tell you one thing ... I don't judge "that" mom with "that" child anymore :)


Let me share a picture. This was taken today (Tuesday) but happened on Saturday.

This is why you should not drink wine and bake at the same time. I now have a whopper of a burn and I am starting to think a little scar to remind me of this lesson for some time to come. I will say that the brownies were worth it.
